Our apartment is located in the popular Capistrano Village which mix the classic Andalusian white-washed village architecture with tropical floral splendor and beautiful pool areas. The area is especially popular for families with children due to the pool areas that have been voted Nerja's most popular holiday area several times.
The 50 sqm apartment has two bedrooms and a great terrace which is perfect for families, friends or couples who want a relaxing holiday in a wonderful environment. With the beautiful environment and the offerings it is therefore quite possible to spend the whole days in the area or you can take a walk down to one of the nice beaches downtown or other excursions.
We fell immediatly for the area in terms of location and for all the flowers in all possible colors in green areas with ever-prosperous shrubs and trees. We hope and believe that you will also love the tranquility and the well-kept surroundings.
In terms of distance it is about 1.5 km and 15-20 min walk to the famous Burriana beach and about 2 km and 20-25 min to the landmark Balcon de Europa in Nerja center.
The pool area
Capistrano Village's two pool areas (one of which is open year-round, though not heated) have been voted Nerja's most popular on several occasions. Both areas (upper and lower) have separate children's pools and snack bar and the upper also has a restaurant and a charming pub "Bar la cueva".
In order to access these pools which have a digital access system, a tag is required, which is of course lent out in connection with the rental of our apartment.
Grocery stores and market
There are two supermarkets within a 5-10 min walking distance from the apartment.
The bigger Mercadona offers freshly caught fish from the sea in the fish counter and behind the deli counter the serrano ham is sliced by hand. Additionally, you will find most that can be desired when it comes to food & beverage, and household items. Opening hours 09.00-21.30 and closed on Sundays and bank holidays!
Carrefour is also within walking distance and is also open 09.00-21.30 and most often open on Sundays (though not bank holidays) during medium/high season. In addition, there are a lot of small local shops that sell both drinks and food all the way down to the center.
On Tuesdays you can walk about 15-20 minutes or take the car 5 minutes to the local market "Mercadillo" which offers local crafts, clothing and fresh vegetables and fruits. Don't forget to buy the locally produced avocado and mango.
Activities
If you like padel or tennis there is a sports arena "La Raqueta" 5 min walking distance where you can reserve a time. There are also Quiz and music evenings arranged here.
